I am currently a part-time Assistant Professor in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Toronto.

My research stages conversations between prominent 17th and 18th century figures such as Descartes and Kant with thinkers working in the traditions of phenomenology and existentialism such as Heidegger, Sartre, and Fanon.

My most recent work draws upon the philosophies of Heidegger and Gadamer to demonstrate the limitations of Kant's account of understanding and interpretation.
